I moved to Sarasota with my parents and sister in 1964. My father accepted a position at New College as a professor of philosophy, where he worked until he retired in 2000. My mother worked for the Ringling Museum in various staff positions, until she went to work for Student Government at New College. She retired in 2007.
My wife Darlyn and I have two grown children who were both involved in soccer, which is a great passion of mine. We also have two adorable grandsons. Darlyn is employed at Abel Elementary School, where she works with special needs children. My older son Ryan is a Firefighter with Hillsborough County. He also has been involved in the cabinet industry as a very accomplished cabinet installer. My younger son Evan is about to graduate from FSU. He was just awarded an internship with the Hillsborough Sheriff's Department. Evan played soccer at the national level, competing in tournaments across the country. We have two dogs, as well as fish and turtles.
I started my career in 1979 in the construction industry as a framing carpenter. I quickly moved into trim carpentry, and then in early 1982 I went to work for Originals in Wood, a local cabinet company. I have been in the cabinet industry ever since. My passions are woodworking and design.
I worked for Eurotech Cabinetry for ten years. I started out in the purchasing and processing departments. After four years, I was transferred to the installation department and a year later I was promoted to Project Manager.
From the time I left Eurotech, I have been working as a cabinet designer, supplier and project manager. In all my years in the cabinet industry, I have never had a dissatisfied client. I take great pride in my projects and always strive for perfection.
I look forward to meeting with new clients and working with them to achieve the best possible project which fits their tastes and budgets.
I look forward to meeting with you if I can be of service.
Sincerely yours,
Keith Berggren
